The First National Bank of Monterey does not call asking for your online banking login username or password. We will also never ask for your Multi-Factor verification code. If you are in doubt, hang up and call the bank directly.
Please be aware there is a text circulating to people in our area stating:
“Bank of Monterey
Did you attempt the following transaction
Walgreens $483.99
Target $291.21
Please reply Y/N”
Do not respond and delete immediately if you receive a message like the above one.
This is an attempt so a person can contact you to obtain your banking information. The First National Bank of Monterey will not contact you in this manner.
We will never call you asking for your account numbers, passwords or banking information.
